Thank you for showing interest in speaking at a Hope is Alive event! At the end of the day, it’s YOUR story that people in attendance want to hear. Before filling out the form below, please read over a few guidelines in regards to speaking at Hope is Alive events.
1. Dress to Impress!
“If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you play good.” – Deion Sanders
Hard to argue with that! You are the star of the show. While we aren’t requiring you to wear a 3-piece suit or a formal gown, we would love for you to dress in a nice and appropriate manner that represents the wonderful new life you are living! Don’t have any nice clothes? Get with your Program Manager and they will be sure to sort that out!
2. It's just a microphone!
For those of us in recovery, telling our story tends to be second nature. But for some, adding a microphone into the mix can lead to unnecessary stress. Relax, friends! It’s your story! There are no wrong answers! The truth is that for over 11 years, there have been countless residents who have hopped on the mic at events so that YOU and countless others could have a bed at Hope is Alive.
HAVE FUN! IT's YOUR STORY!
Remember our culture code: WEGET TO BE HERE! Speaking at a Hope is Alive event is meant to be fun! Not stressful! For most of us, getting to tell our story to those we need to hear it most is an opportunity we never thought possible. Enjoy it! As stated above, there are no wrong answers. You are the star of the show!
