TZ Memorial Sobriety Sprint
THE SOBRIETY SPRINT
Five years ago, we hosted the first “TZ Memorial Sobriety Sprint”, in hopes of honoring our friend Zach Arismendez who passed away clean and sober on June 4th, 2017. It was a HUGE success! Hundreds of runners came out and we had a blast celebrating our friend. So, we chose to make this fun, family-friendly event an annual thing. If you are clean and sober, the run is a great way to celebrate that! If you’ve lost someone to addiction, the run is a great way to honor & remember them. At Hope is Alive we stand with those in sobriety and honor those we’ve lost. That’s what the Sobriety Sprint is all about!
This year’s race will mark our sixth “Sobriety Sprint”. With a memorial along the course, this will be an event you will NOT want to miss! All proceeds from this year’s “TZ Memorial Sobriety Sprint” will go to the Hope is Alive Scholarship Fund.
Select your city to run in!
Every person to register will receive a Runner T-shirt, an HIA string bag, a Sobriety Sprint Medal, and a pair of HIA Sunglasses!
At HIA we set the tone and we celebrate everything! As a volunteer, you will get to engage with those who are living out radical life change and pushing back the devastating effects of addiction in our communities.
This year there are plenty of opportunities in these areas:
- Packet Pick Up
- Water Stop
- Memorial Mile
- First Aid
- Cheer Section
- Stationed volunteers along the course
- HIA infamous tear-down experience
By giving back to Hope is Alive, YOU get to be a part of radical life change in your community!
